Detailed description of Courses At Hyland Hill, The Gold Course
Courses At Hyland Hills is a 45 hole golf facility located in Westminster, Colorado. The facility has an eighteen hole course (The Gold Course), a regulation nine hole course (The Blue Course), a a nine hole par 3 course (The South Course) and a seven hole par 3 course (The North Course)
The Gold Course is a regulation 18 hole golf course.
The Blue Course is a great regulation nine hole course and was once the front nine for the Gold Course.
The South Course is a 9-hole par 3 course.
The North Course is a is a 9-hole par 3 course.
The Gold Course first opened for play in 1965. The course was designed by Frank Hummel.
The Gold Course has hilly terrain and water hazards (seven ponds) that come into play on eleven holes. #12, a 532-yard, par 5 is considered to be the most beautiful hole on the course. Its elevated tee box offers a spectacular view of the Rocky Mountains. There are approximately three peninsula greens on the Gold Course.
The Gold Course at Hyland Hills plays to a par of 72 and a maximum 9-hole distance of 7,021 yards. The course rating is 71.9 and the slope rating is 132.

Still one of the most challenging courses in the Denver area.

My brother and I play this Hyland Hills most often, either the Blue 9 hole course or the gold 18 hole links course. I drive 1/2 hour to get there, but it is worth it. The fairways are always lush green and the greens are usually in great shape. Some water hazards and a few sand bunkers, placed in strategic locations. One of my two favorite public courses in the northern Denver area.

Great layout, difficult driving areas, beautiful views of mountain range, lots of hazards and forced carries. Every hole is unique, requiring lots of different shots.
